Need to update the calendar

8/18/2015

Well, its been a while since I've updated the calendar.
We found out that our very first festival, Riverside Community Festival, has been cancelled this year, so sad, because it was the first one we were a part of, and it is in our hometown. So instead, we are going to be at the Clifton Gorge Music and Arts Festival - we were there several years ago, and are really excited to be part of it again.
We had signed up to be part of the West Liberty Labor Day Celebration, only to remember that we had already applied for Kettering's Holiday at Home again - actually one of our favorites!
The last change is that St. Helen's Christmas Bazaar has been cancelled for this year. We hope that they can hold  it next year, because it is a special event for us, our home parish!

So check out the calendar, and see the changes and updates. Hope you can join us! Lots of new items in the inventory....including Ankle bracelets, and a great new sweatshirt!

See you all soon!

It's getting busy!

Hey there! Well, its been a while since I posted on the blog, so I thought I would get this updated. We pretty much have our  2015 calendar set. Lots of great festivals and fairs coming up. We will be very busy with the fundraising and training. I am walking in Atlanta this year, and its not until the middle of October, so I have a longer time to get ready. yeah!

This coming weekend, we will be in Mt. Sterling, OH for the Tri-County Auxillary Homecoming Festival. A great little town that we look forward to visiting each year. Shortly after that will be the fantastic Yellow Springs Street Fair, and then we will head to Fairborn for the 3rd of July Block Party. A few weeks of rest will follow and then we have 8 festivals in 10 weeks! WOW!

As always, look for the Pink Tent - help us find a cure!

Huber Heights Marigold Festival on September 12

Vandalia Oktoberfest - September 11-13 (oh, oh, looks like we are double-booked on Sept 12! We'll work it out somehow!)
Yellow Springs Street Fair on October 10

And don't forget that I will be walking in Atlanta this year for the Susan G Komen 3-Day Walk October 16-18!

We are planning on being at Mt Sterling at the end of May, Fairborn 3rd of July, and Halloween Festival in October....these aren't confirmed yet, but most likely will happen.

And many more I'm sure will come up!

We will be updating our schedule as we get things set..

Pink on the rink night!

Fundraising 2015 is off to a great start! Last Friday found us at the Dayton Demons Pink on the Rink Night! We were personally invited by Bonez to set up our stand along with Premier Health, Noble Circle and other Breast Cancer Awareness groups. What a wonderful evening we had. Sales started as we were setting up. So many enthusiastic fans, happy to help out the cause. The Dayton Demons is a great family-friendly organization and we met people of all ages.
Next stop will be Mt. Sterling, OH. Watch here for more information!

Last Show of the Year!

Well, we made it through another year! Tomorrow we wrap up 2014 with the St Helen Christmas Bazaar. It's one of our favorites (my home church!). We really appreciate all of the support we have gotten throughout the year. From the Dayton Demons Pink on the Rink night in February to St Helen's Church, we have shared stories and information, hugged, supported, been frustrated at times, trained and walked and hopefully helped save lives. Walking in Michigan was amazing and I am looking forward to walking in Atlanta next year!
Thanks again to all who helped! We're starting to put our schedule of shows together for next year, so STAY TUNED!

A Howling Good Halloween!

Halloween didn't scare us! Fairborn's Halloween Festival was one of the best events of the year! Weather was nearly perfect and sales were great! Not to mention the fun and fantastic costumed creatures that took to the streets. What a fun weekend.

A special thanks to Shelby at the Adidas Outlet Store at the Jeffersonville Outlet Mall. We were invited to be a part of the "Making Women Feel Beautiful" event she put together. We set up our table inside the store and had our information brochures and jewelry available for anyone stopping by.

We are doing double duty next weekend. Saturday will see us at Bellbrook High School, and Sunday brings us to Springfield High School. Looking forward to both INSIDE Shows!! So nice to not have to worry about the weather.

Street Fair and beyond

The weather held and we had another great Street Fair! We just love setting up in Yellow Springs, especially at the Village BP station. We appreciate their support so much. Sales were hot and heavy all day. We have limited space, so we make the best of what we have. As soon as one item sells out, we put up something to take its place. We sold shirts, cups, hats, socks, not to mention our jewelry and silicone bracelets. We had so many requests for our "Find the Purr-fect Cure" shirt, that we decided to place an order for more. We had been planning on letting that one just sell out, but if you want it, you get it! We hope to have them in before the Fairborn Halloween Festival! I'll post it on Facebook when they come in.
Oh, that reminds me. We are off this weekend, I'll be participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Dayton on Saturday, and taking a little R&R on Sunday. Then, we're off to Downtown Fairborn for the Halloween Festival - October 24 & 25. It's scarry fun!!!! See you there!

Women's Fair 2014

We have been looking forward to the 2014 Dayton Women's Fair all year! And it came and went so fast, we could barely catch our breath. We didn't see as many people as we had hoped, but I think made a big impact on those that visited our booth. We even had a model wearing some of our items in the Fashion Show! We saw a lot of old friends and made new ones. We caught up with Sandy from the Dayton Demons, and she repeated Bonez's invitation to set up at the Pink in the Rink night!
We finally have a weekend off to rest and recuperate after 6 very busy weekends. October is right around the corner. We'll be at the Spring Valley Potato Festival and then Yellow Springs Street Fair!

Fall is Here! and how!

OK! I know the calendar doesn't say it's Fall yet, but don't tell anyone that was at the Huber Heights Marigold Festival. It was a beautiful Fall day! Chilly in the morning, warming up nice in the afternoon, and then chilly again as the sun went down. It was really one of the nicest festivals we have been to. It was only the second year for the festival, but it was much bigger and better and more fun than last year. We stayed busy most of the day and did better in sales than any of the festivals we have been to this year. And we connected with Bonez from the Dayton Demons hockey team again. He gave me note to call them so we can set up at the Pink on the Rink night! Can't wait!
Now, the biggest event of all is coming up. The 2014 Dayton Women's Fair is this Saturday and Sunday at the Airport Expo Center! We will not only have our booth there, but we will be part of the Saturday Women in Business Networking Fashion Show! How exciting is that? Look for Kathy's Pink Goal near Arrow Wine's Cocktail Court and Meijer's Cooking Stage!
